Driven by his passion as a rhythmic groove visionary, Erik aims to lighten souls and to connect throughout cultures to make the World a better place through music.

“Levantine Hues” by Almaghoot Quintet
Erik is currently participating in the making of the new album recording of the project “Levantine Hues” by Almaghoot Quintet.
An Arabic improvisational and experimental ensemble reflecting the music of clarinetist Ghaeth Almaghoot and his quintet, made up of renowned musicians such as guitarist Teis Semey, viola player Yanna Pelser, bassist Johannes Fend and multi-percussionist Erik Larrea.
Afro-Cuban Intensive
A 3-weeks course of Afro-Cuban and Timba con Afro dance with live music
Erik will be accompanying the Afro-Cuban dance course of Mijael Bueno with live traditional Afro-Cuban music on Wednesdays April 22nd, April 29th and May 6th in Roggeveenstraat 12 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The program will include generic Afro-Cuban rhythms such as Chachalokuafun, Ñongo and Iyesá, singing and drumming for Babalú Aye and the Bantu rhythms of Palo and Makuta.
Every week on Wednesdays at 18:30 and 20:30 starting as of April 22nd 2026.
