Meet Erik
As a vibrant Amsterdam-based drummer, multi-percussionist and passionate music educator, Erik regularly performs in the Benelux, traveling all over Europe to perform and share his passion for music.
With a passion for creating and shaping music through drums and percussion, Erik brings the roots of timeless rhythms, re-imagined beats and new musical creations to venues all over the globe.
Driven by his rhythmic expression, Erik aims to lighten souls and to connect throughout cultures.

New Album Recording coming out soon
“Levantine Hues” by Almaghoot Quintet
Erik is currently participating in the making of the new album recording of the project “Levantine Hues” by Almaghoot Quintet.
An Arabic improvisational and experimental ensemble reflecting the music of clarinetist Ghaeth Almaghoot and his quintet, made up of renowned musicians such as guitarist Teis Semey, viola player Yanna Pelser, bassist Johannes Fend and multi-percussionist Erik Larrea.
June Afro Cubano Intensive
A 3-weeks course of Afro-Cuban dance with live music
Erik will be accompanying the Afro-Cuban dance course of Mijael Bueno with live traditional Afro-Cuban music on Wednesdays June 10th, June 17th and June 24th in The Netherlands.
Weekly topics will include Afro-Cuban drumming, dancing and singing for the Orishas Eleggua, Yemayá and Oshosi.
Wednesdays at 19:00 at Roggeveenstraat 12 in Amsterdam.
